Meet The Trainer: Dax Biederman

After spending 13 years (8 of it in safety) internally with a commercial construction company, it was time for Dax to make a change and share his safety experience and impact as a consultant. It was as a senior consultant with an established consulting firm that he began working directly with the Trivent Safety Consulting team, it was an obvious transition and opportunity to further his reach with his work in safety and as an instructor. He soon realized that to provide the biggest impact and to ensure safety on a job was to be an external objective consultant, and partner with the superintendents to create a proactive safety culture. It was while establishing these relationships and safety culture that he noticed a concerning trend with employees working at heights. Dax has an extensive knowledge when it comes to fall protection, he has been a lead instructor for years now in competent person fall protection training. When it comes to an interactive hands on training experience, there are very few who can instruct and lead at a level that he can.

Dax joined his partners in forming Trivent Safety Consulting in 2018 and is expanding his role in a career he loves.
He also is a OSHA Outreach Instructor and currently works with the Denver AGC safety committee, as well as several other safety organizations in and around Denver. His favorite part of safety is getting people home safely to their families each night and loves getting to know the guys that he’s training. Some of Mr. Biederman’s safety credentials include a CHST, and in addition has earned a degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Anyone that has an opportunity to be a part of one of Dax’s training courses will quickly recognize the skill and passion that he has for keeping workers informed and safe out on the job-site.

Born and raised in Colorado, Dax left for a short time but knew that this was his home and where he wanted to spend his life. Married with one daughter, his favorite thing to do is spend time with his family. When he’s not with them, he enjoys the outdoors. Boating, fishing, camping and hunting are just a few of the things he enjoys doing when he is not spending time with his family.
